Willy Rizzo Sofa for Mario Sabot, Italy 1970s

Purchased from MORENTZ in the Netherlands on 1st Dibs a couple of years ago. 

It's an original sofa but we re-upholstered it in a beautiful RAF SIMONS for Kvadrat  100% cotton velvet fabric. The velvet is a goldish / blondeish colour so it could really fit into a lot of different aesthetics. 

2 x three seater sections
1 x corner piece
1 x single piece


Condition 

  • Rip on upholstery, covered but cushions
  • water mark on top of upholstery, not noticeable once couches are pushed together.
  • mark on corner sectional sofa
  • dirt mark on the back of sofa
  • small tear on upholstery, covered by back cushion.

The sofa was recovered overseas and the damage was incurred in transit. Most of these marks are covered by the cushions once fully cosntructed and set up. The sofa still presents beautifully.
