GENERAL ORDER POLICY (for Maker-specific policies, see below)

You acknowledge that the items are not in new condition, unless specified otherwise, and may have minor defects and be in an inferior condition compared to the same product in new condition.

Orders

Curated Spaces provides the platform for the sale of items and receives payments from you on the seller’s behalf. The items listed by our sellers are produced and/or sold directly by independent sellers not by Curated Spaces. The sale agreement will be between you and the relevant seller. Curated Spaces does not manufacture, store or inspect any of the items listed by our selling partners on our site. As a result, we do not make any warranties about the quality, safety, suitability or legality of any items sold on the site by our selling partners.

The seller is liable for any loss suffered as a result of, or in connection with, the item being faulty and/or materially different to its listing description and photos. Claims related to items you purchase from our selling partners must be brought directly against the seller of the item.

Shipping and delivery

Unless specified otherwise, shipping is not included in the sale price of an item. Buyers are to arrange and pay for their courier services privately.

Please check the location of the item before purchasing, as you may need to pay for the item to be couriered to you and the cost will be impacted by location. Item locations are listed in the description for each item. You may wish to obtain a quote from a courier prior to making your purchase to factor all costs into your purchasing decision.

We do not, and we do not permit our sellers to, ship vintage items to locations outside of Australia, unless otherwise agreed in writing between you, us and the seller prior to purchase.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing between you and the seller, if you fail to collect the item from the seller within two weeks of the date of purchase of the item through the site, you will be deemed to have cancelled your order and the seller will be free to deal with the item in any way they see fit. If you are deemed to have cancelled your order under this clause, we will refund you the purchase price of the item less a restocking fee calculated as 20% of the purchase price.

If you are picking the item up yourself, you must carefully inspect the item prior to taking it from the collection premises. Subject to the refunds and returns section below, no discounts, refunds, exchanges or returns for change of mind will be allowed once you take the item from the collection premises.

Refunds and returns

You must advise us of any issues with items within 24 hours of your inspection of the Item at the seller’s collection premises or, if the item has been shipped to you or delivered by a courier, the time of delivery of the Item to you. Any concerns about an item should be brought to our attention by emailing hello@curatedspaces.com.au Please include photos and a description of your concern in the email.

We do not accept change of mind returns. We do not offer refunds.

MAKER ORDER POLICIES

RETURNS

Curated Spaces Home pieces are handcrafted to order, so if you change your mind we cannot refund your full or partial payment, or offer an exchange. All orders are final. Please take the time to measure your space prior to purchase. 

Due to the nature of handmade furniture we cannot guarantee that every item will be exactly as pictured. Imperfections or variations in the grain, colour, or sheen of the timber may occur naturally. These naturally occurring characteristics are not viewed as damages or defects. No two pieces are exactly the same. Please note that the images of products displayed on the website and Instagram may differ in colour due to differences in resolution, colour settings, brightness or device screens.

Deliveries must be received and signed for by you or your representative in person. On receipt of delivery, you (or your representative) must inspect the item promptly. If we do not receive any correspondence from you within 24 hours of delivery occurring, we will assume that you have accepted the item.

If you have a concern about the item, you must advise us within 24 hours of delivery to you by emailing hello@curatedspaces.com.au. Please include photos and a description of your concern in the email. If, in our opinion, the item is materially different to how it was described on the site, we will arrange for the item to be collected from you and then issue a full or partial refund (as agreed) to your original payment method. You must use all reasonable endeavours to promptly assist us in arranging for the item to be collected from you.

If the item is not materially different to how it was described on the site, it is not possible to return the item and obtain a refund simply because it is not fit for the purpose you intended, unless that intention was communicated to us prior to the purchase and we told you that the Item would be fit for that purpose.

PAYMENT TERMS

If you opt for a payment plan, you must make the second payment by the agreed date. Extensions cannot be provided. The deposit is non refundable. 

The lead time is an estimate and may be longer if delivery is affected by events outside of our control. If there are any unexpected delays that arise we will be in touch.

TURNAROUND TIMES

Turnaround times can be up to 12 weeks plus shipping if purchased during peak periods due to the handmade nature of these products.

PRODUCT REFUNDS

As Fearon pieces are handcrafted to order we cannot offer a refund or exchange on purchases if you change your mind. All orders are also final and cannot be cancelled during the production stage. If there is a quality issue please send an image and a description of the issue to hello@curatedspaces.com.au so we can work with you to find the best solution.

SHIPPING

Local pick up from Burleigh Heads, Queensland or delivery by courier are the available shipping options.

Freight charge is additional for this item and is not included in the purchase price.

If the item is being couriered, this will be organised by Curated Spaces when production is completed. Rates vary depending on delivery location and size of order.

RETURNS

All sales are final, no change of mind returns are accepted.

REFUNDS

Refunds are not available for items that are on sale. We cannot accept returns of furniture unless there is a fault. Due to the nature of natural stone, there are variances and distinct differences in each piece. If you are concerned, please contact us directly and we can provide you with photos of the stone prior to making your item/s.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us via Curated Spaces to submit a damaged goods claim. This claim is to be lodged within 24 hours of receiving the item/s.

How To Lodge A Damaged Goods Claim

  • Order Number
  • Items damaged
  • Supporting images of the damaged box and item

REDELIVERY FEE

For larger items sent with TNT a $45 fee applies where an initial attempt to deliver a consignment fails.
