- Vintage “Scavo” Murano Vase, Italy

Fun "scavo” vintage Murano vase in lemon and tangerine with a lion stamped on each side. “Scavo” was a stylistic device designed to make the piece look like it had been excavated like an ancient artefact (scavo = excavated). The vase has areas of matte texture to create this effect. 
Sourced in Italy.
