Vintage Onyx & Lucite Round Dining Table

A spectacular statement piece, this vintage round dining table combines a richly figured onyx top with a sculptural clear Lucite base.

The substantial circular onyx top features extraordinary natural banding in warm honey, caramel, blush, cream and deep burgundy tones. Each vein and tonal variation creates incredible movement across the surface, making this a truly one of a kind piece.

The dramatic stone top is juxtaposed against a geometric clear Lucite pedestal base, giving the table an unexpectedly light, almost floating appearance. The combination of natural stone and transparent Lucite captures the glamour and experimentation of 1970s design, while feeling remarkably relevant in a contemporary interior.

An exceptional centrepiece for a dining room, this table works beautifully alongside sculptural upholstered seating, chrome, timber or other collectible vintage pieces.

Condition

Vintage condition with visible age-related wear. The onyx top remains largely in good overall condition and presents beautifully, with some surface scratching consistent with age and use.

There is more notable wear around sections of the outer rim from previous storage, including cracking and areas where part of the clear finish surrounding the edge has chipped or broken away. This is visible along the outer rim and has been photographed for reference.

Despite the edge wear, the extraordinary colour, figuring and overall visual impact of the onyx remain the defining features of this piece.
