Vintage 1930s Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Sideboard

A wonderfully characterful piece of English-inspired furniture design, this striking 1930s Jacobean Revival sideboard is all rich oak, intricate carving and old-world grandeur.

Crafted from solid oak, the piece features a beautifully hand-carved gallery rail, decorative edge mouldings and distinctive Spanish-style bun feet. Its faceted front and geometric panelled doors lend an architectural quality to the design, while the original period hardware and warm timber patina add a lovely sense of history.

Behind three cupboard doors, fixed shelving provides generous storage, complemented by three drawers, including one felt-lined compartment for cutlery, silverware or treasured little things.

The top has been thoughtfully refinished in a warm teak-brown stain with a durable satin finish, while the original brass handles have been lightly polished, retaining their beautiful aged character.

A rather fabulous addition to a dining room, where it could house everything from vintage tableware to an enviable collection of glassware. Equally at home beneath an oversized contemporary artwork, creating that wonderful tension between traditional craftsmanship and modern interiors.
