Mid Century ‘Kone’ chair by Roger McLay

An iconic chair made by Roger McLay and Descon of Sydney between 1951 and 1962. Australian modernism at its best.

Condition

The plywood has been polished prior to listing but has wear to the finish on the back of the seat. The legs have some tarnish even after a good clean. 

New rubber stoppers have been added to the end of the steel legs and one of the bolts that attaches the plywood seat to the legs has been replaced. 

There is a small chip missing from the bottom seat edge - see images. This has been taken into consideration with pricing.
