Heritage Furniture Sideboard

An attractive sideboard featuring 4 lovely pull-out drawers with dovetail construction. Original 'Heritage Furniture' badge, dating this piece back to the 1940s to 1960s as part of what was considered the upmarket Myer Heritage Range of furniture for the department store. Many historians have attributed the early designs of the range to the prominent Australian designer, Fred Ward, when he was invited to operate his design studio in North Melbourne by Myer Emporium in the 1930s. Due to its notable
modernist interpretation of the arts & crafts style, this is a true heirloom of Australian furniture design.

Condition 

The unit is a solid construction with original wax seal and in very good condition for its age. Drawers operate smoothly and are internally clean. Some visible sun bleaching, surface scratches and general wear; with one small chip to the veneer on the rear corner of the body.
