An exceptional mid-century wrought iron room divider by Jean Touret for Atelier Marolles, created in France circa 1950.

This freestanding sculptural screen features Touret’s distinctive hand-forged animal motifs, giving the piece a wonderful sense of movement and character while still feeling architectural and graphic. It works beautifully as a room divider, decorative screen or simply as a standalone sculptural object.

A rare and highly collectible example of French mid-century decorative art, with the craftsmanship and expressive ironwork that make Atelier Marolles pieces so distinctive. The consignment form identifies it as a Jean Touret design for Atelier Marolles, circa 1950, in wrought iron.
