- Vintage Sebel Tub Chairs

Vintage tub / egg chairs by Sebel. As per the label, the design was under licence from Overman International. Light brown plastic shell base with new upholstery on the cushions.

Condition

Very good vintage condition.

The chairs have been reupholstered professionally prior to listing using deadstock upholstery fabric sourced locally from an ex-upholsterer, and new zips and ties. The upholstery fabric is a soft, textured, two-tone material similar to corduroy, matching the 70s design of the chair. It is in excellent condition with no flaws to note. 

The original foam for the seats are in good condition so have been reused. They are comfy and perfectly shaped to the chair.

The seat cushions are removable. The base cushion is attached to the plastic frame with ties. One of the plastic clips in one spot is broken however the cushion is still securely attached as it is tied in other places to the base. 

There are some light scratches in a few places to the plastic tub bases however generally the plastic has very few scuffs and has not faded.
