Before Essence Chair

A seriously sculptural chair with plenty of attitude. This Before Essence chair is handcrafted from recycled Oregon timber, celebrating the grain, knots and natural imperfections of the original wood.

The architectural construction is the hero here — oversized slab-style arms, exposed timber pegs and a high panelled back give it an almost Brutalist feel, while the warm Oregon keeps it from feeling too severe. Beautiful from every angle and particularly good used as a standalone statement chair rather than tucked away at a table.

We love it paired with bold contemporary art, chrome, glass or something unexpectedly polished for contrast.
