A substantial Murano pendant light by Barovier c.1940s featuring a weighty central bowl handblown in the bullicante (controlled bubbles) technique. It is held suspended by a quilted glass rope frame. The ceiling rosette is in matching bullicante. Brushed metal fittings introduce a clean, understated contrast.
Sourced in Italy, this piece comes from the historic Barovier tradition, one of Murano’s oldest and most revered glassmaking families. Its design reflects the atelier’s unique approach to light: hand-blown glass with gentle irregularities, refined proportions and a soft, atmospheric glow. Vintage Barovier works are prized for this balance of craftsmanship and restraint, an understated elegance that captures the essence of classic Venetian design.
