Joe Rufenacht Lounge Chair
This product is currently sold out.
Stunning lounge chair by Swiss mid-century designer Joe Rufenacht. The wavy bentwood frame and butter-soft black leather make for an unbelievably comfortable. A true collector’s piece.
Based in the Barossa Valley, Rufenacht — a former physics engineer— was known for prototyping chairs up to 40 times before he was happy enough with their quality to permit a production run. Inspired by Scandinavian design, by 1980 he’d won more design awards than any other furniture maker in Australia.
70 deep, 78 high, 63 wide
The chair is in remarkable condition for its age. The leather has some light scratches, not overly noticeable. There are some small scratches on the very bottom of a leg. Please refer to photos.
