As seen in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), a rare "Ara" lamp by Philippe Starck, designed in 1988 for Flos Italy.
As much a sculptural art piece as a light source, the Ara lamp has gained cult status among collectors for its bold, sweeping form and striking presence.
Rotatable head and polished chrome finish. Ideal as a desk lamp, atop a sideboard, or next to a favourite chair as a reading lamp.

The lamp has its original European plug and can be used with a safety-approved adaptor (these cost approximately $12). Alternatively it can be rewired to Australian standards for an additional fee. Please inquire within.

Approximately 50cm H x 28cm W x 18cm D

Great vintage condition with minor age-appropriate wear. Please refer to photos.

*Please note that the lamp is functional and in good working order however it has not been tagged and tested. It is recommended that all secondhand electrical equipment is tagged and tested by an electrician prior to use.
